Before & After Boston Living Room
I love me a good before and after, so here you go! This is a job I recently finished up for a super sweet couple in a little town just outside of Boston via my work with Homepolish. They are a totally hip, young couple and as you can see their space beforehand wasn't a good representation of their essence. It was full of inherited items, tag sale finds...which can be great, but if you don't know what you want your end product to be, you won't know which things to say no to...and that's where it's really helpful to work with a designer. They were after an eclectic space with a Domino-esque feel. I'm really happy with the end product. It's so cheery! :) I made all of their sofa throw pillows myself and also made the two black and white paintings. It always makes me extra happy when I can bring some soul art into my client spaces.

Before & After New Jersey Family Room
I'm so excited to be able to share these "Before & After" images of my clients family room with you! I adore this family. They are such amazing people and I always feel so grateful when my clients also become my friends, which they certainly have. I started working on this home a few years ago, finishing up their kitchen last summer. As a designer, this project has been so deeply gratifying, because my clients have been so happy with each space, that they continue to hire me to re-design more and more rooms (will post on their daughters bedroom soon and basement in the months to come!)....and damn does that feel good! :) Makes my heart so happy. I started on this space in the winter, by making them a custom sofa table to fit snug behind the sofa against the wall...adding a space for lamps, books, tea, wine...whatever their little hearts desired.
We were also able to reuse quite a few items that she already had in her home...including her sectional, standing lamp and lucite coffee table. Yes...sometimes you have some amazing stuff in your house, you just need a new set of eyes to show you!
I added a picture wall, accessories & pillows from West Elm. Some GORGEOUS pillows from one of my favorite pillow companies, Coral & Tusk, I got an antique mirror for $10!!, fixed it up and brought it over. I brought in some adorable & beautiful Iranian foot warmers and used them as planter stands, table lamps from Safaveih, and of course the foundation of it all....that gorgeous Ancient Arrows rug from Genevieve Gorder for Capel. Just love her!
